BellatorMMA has made numerous television deal announcements during the course of this week. So we at FiveRoundWar thought we’d break it down for those interested in Bellator Newcastle.

Why tune in to watch Bellator Newcastle?

As a mixed martial arts promotion, Bellator are going from strength to strength. Their production and talent are excelling, with their talent pool including numerous fighters who have been and done it in the UFC. Not only that but many of the fighters are still relevant and very much in their prime. This includes Gegard Moussasi, Rory McDonald and Ryan Bader to name a few.

Bellator Newcastle will mark the first of up to six events in a European series that will take place during the course of 2019.

The card is headlined by a Brazilian knockout artist in Patricky Freire, who holds 13 knockout victories. He will be looking to continue this trend against Ryan Scope. Ryan is from Sunderland and with the fight taking place in Newcastle, the fans could very well turn on Ryan and root for Patricky.

Reality TV star Aaron Chalmers is in the co-main event against Corey Browning. At first, many overlooked Aaron and didn’t take him very seriously. However, he has proven to be a credible fighter who should not be overlooked. Aaron now has four first round finishes to his name and the home town hero will be looking to shine once again!

Where and when can I watch Bellator Newcastle?

Bellator Newcastle will take place on Saturday 9th February 2019 live on either Channel 5 or 5 Spike. This depends on where you live in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Ireland.

It’s no secret that Geordies love a good scrap! The atmosphere will be electric in Newcastle so be sure to tune in on Saturday night. We will be live tweeting throughout the main card on Twitter.
